The increased emphasis on upgrading combinative competitive capabilities (CCCs) together with organizational innovativeness (OI) indicates that such variables contribute significantly to reducing expenses along with improving the levels of satisfaction, customer retention, profitability, and advertising in organizations. Against this background, the present study aimed to reflect on the extent firm innovation strategy (FIS) would shape CCCs and OI. This applied, descriptive-correlational study, using a survey method, was accordingly conducted on a statistical population of type-2 manufacturing knowledge-based companies (KBCs) (n=530), operating in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), in Tehran Province, Iran; of which the sample size was estimated based on Cochran's formula to be 223. The data collection was further fulfilled by a researcher-made tool adapted from the 15-item questionnaire developed by Celtekligil and Adiguzel (2019), rated based on a five-point Likert-type scale (from totally agree to totally disagree), whose face and content validity were checked and confirmed with reference to expert opinions. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the study variables was also estimated to be larger than 0.7, implying the internal consistency of the items and establishing their reliability. The data analysis was then completed by structural equation modeling (SEM), using the SmartPLS and SPSS software  packages. The study results demonstrated that the direct path coefficient value of CIS on CCCs was 0.201, and the path coefficient mediated by technological turbulence (TT) was equal to 0.276. In view of this, TT as the mediating variable had a positive, significant impact on the relationship between FIS and CCCs. Moreover, the direct path coefficient value of FIS on OI was 0.325, and the path coefficient mediated by TT was equal to 0.350. Accordingly, TT as the mediating variable had a positive, significant effect on the relationship between CIS and OI.
